Vegan Food and Wine Miami

Vegan Food and Wine Miami

The trend of vegan world domination continues from 2015 to 2016, with vegan eateries still popping up like spring daisies. Now that there are more vegan options than ever, date night has never been easier. Below are a few favorites that have already opened doors this year.

The Cinnamon Snail
Buckets of vegan tears were shed last year when beloved food truck The Cinnamon Snail—catering New York and New Jersey—closed its delicious doors last year. However, a happy ending ensued: several months later, the truck went brick and mortar at The Pennsy in Manhattan, were goodie gobblers can enjoy sandwiches, doughnuts and burgers from mad vegan food scientist Adam Sobel, vegan chef and author of Street Vegan.

By Chloe
Vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli’s vegan burger joint has created quite a fan-base in New York City since opening doors last July. The winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars will continue her cross-country food takeover, rumored to open more locations in New York, and spread to LA and Boston. Twenty-eight year old Coscarelli serves up comfort food like burgers and mac and cheese. The author also has several cookbooks, including Chloe’s Vegan Italian Kitchen and Chloe’s Kitchen.

VSPOT (the third)
Fans of latin-cuisine rejoice. New York City’s renowned vegan empanada house VSPOT first opened its doors in Park Slope over 10 years ago. Over the past two years, the eatery has reproduced at bunny-humping rates, with two new spots, one in Gramercy and one in the East Village. Their Gramercy local opened doors in early 2016, and is in connection with New York Comedy club, so you can grub and chuckle all at the same time.

Mother of Pearl
Restaurateur Ravi DeRossi made headlines in February when he announced his formerly meat-heavy eatery would be making a switch to plant-based cuisine. Bye bye, pork belly, hello fried coconut tofu and green mango poke. ReDorssi owns 15 bars and restaurants in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, and although he will be making big vegan menu moves at all of the spots, he says he can’t go 100 percent vegan throughout due to contracting agreements. Still, we’re stoked for more vegan date-night options.

 Vegan Food and Wine Miami
Raw food master Mathew Kenney opens yet another vegan spot, this time in Miami, next to his Miami-based raw cooking school Matthew Kenney Culinary Miami. Located in Wynwood, Plant Food and Wine offers both cooked and uncooked botanical eats, including a dreamy cheese platter, zucchini lasagna and banana-leaf tamales.
